Meet Abi

Writer, Storyteller, Narrative Strategist

ABOUT ME

I’ve always been drawn to stories.

Not just the ones we read, but the ones we live, the ones we carry quietly, and the stories that shape how we see ourselves and how the world sees us.

Today, my work lives at the intersection of storytelling, identity, and communication.

I’m a writer, communications strategist, and storyteller. Across novels, institutions, and creative work, I help shape narratives that bring clarity to who we are—and how we express that to the world.

WRITING

As a novelist, I explore themes of identity, beauty, belonging, and the quiet tension of becoming.

My debut novel, Patience Is a Subtle Thief, was named one of BuzzFeed’s Best Books of the Month and received a starred review from Kirkus.

My stories center people who don’t always see themselves reflected—and follow their journey toward being fully seen.

Every event we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows.

MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS

Alongside my writing, I’ve spent over a decade working in media and communications.

I’ve partnered with organizations across education, media, finance, and nonprofit spaces to help clarify their messaging, strengthen their voice, and build deeper connections with the communities they serve.

My work has appeared across platforms including PBS, ELLE, HuffPost, and CUNY—and has been recognized with an Emmy Award and multiple Communicator Awards.

At the core of everything I do is one belief:

Clarity begins with understanding your story.

Whether I’m working with an institution or writing a novel, I’m always asking: Who are you, really?
And how can that truth be expressed clearly, honestly, and powerfully?

Every event we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows.

I believe:

Strong stories don’t just inform, they shape how we see ourselves and they influence how we move through the world.

When we learn to understand and tell our stories clearly, everything begins to shift.
